After School and Summer Enrichment Program
Campus Community School's 21st Century Community Learning Center offers an intensive summer and after-school enrichment program to students in grades k-8 focused on increasing access to high quality Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math instruction.
"S.T.E.A.M. into Learning: Explore, Discover, and Create" features standards-based, supplemental instruction along with integrated enrichment projects.
Collaboration with multiple community based organizations offers the opportunity for children to engage in high interest extensions of the curriculum in addition to supporting their social and emotional growth.
The Goals of this program are to:
(1) Increase academic achievement in math and science along with increased access to the arts, technology and wellness opportunities.
(2) Increase school connectedness of participants, including families, caregivers, and school teachers through small group instruction, collaborative learning environments, mentoring and parent-child showcase opportunities.
(3) Increase capacity of participants to become productive adults through increased academic achievement coupled with a focus on development of the whole child.
